Title: Friendship
Fandom: Hunter x Hunter
Character: Canary

Summary: A short post-episode study on Canary.
Canary feels lighter once Killua and his friends leave. There's something strange and unfamiliar that makes her steps bounce and her head spin. She knows she shouldn't feel this way, but Gotoh and the others don't say anything.
She props the skateboard against the tree, where it was. It's safe, there, protected, and she can watch it. She doesn't feel so alone when she looks at it and the strange feeling bubbles under her skin. This is what it's like to have friends, she thinks, and she's glad that Killua can feel this as well.
The feeling will fade, as all things do. She vaguely remembers being scared by someone holding a knife, once, when she was very, very young, and it seems laughable now. But, for now, she is going to hold this inside and treasure it.
When Killua returns, his skateboard will be exactly like it was when he left, and Canary will have a friend.
